PRE-ORDER NOW – AVAILABLE DECEMBER 2025
Shearwater Research’s Swift GPS Transmitter represents a groundbreaking evolution of the trusted Swift AI technology and is available for delivery as of December 2025.
The Swift GPS is engineered to provide divers with both reliable, real-time air integration and crucial surface location data, together with dive log maps, all within one compact, powerful unit.
Every Shearwater air integrated dive computer can lock in your dive site location coordinates with the Swift GPS, giving you more than the benefits of air integration when you capture your dive’s entry and exit points, and add maps to your Dive log.
Better still, if you already have a transmitter — or multiple transmitters —only one of them needs to be the GPS version to reap the benefits.
While you’ll enjoy all the features of the trusted Swift AI, receiving real-time gas pressure data and benefiting from accurate gas time remaining calculations for extended dive time, you’ll also be getting a location accuracy of 4 metres based on a satellite reporting interval of 4.8 – 5.2 seconds.
And yes, of course, the Swift GPS also had the collision avoidance for other transmitters, which makes it incredibly reliable.
Otherwise identical in size, weight, and functionality to the Swift Transmitter, it’s worth noting that the Swift GPS’s GPS feature will somewhat reduce battery life, though not significantly for most divers.
Based on one-hour dives, Swift without a GPS battery life is up to 300 hours, with a shelf life of 5 years, whereas with the GPS, it is 100 hours with 20 minutes of Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) on-time before and after each dive. It’s battery shelf life is 2 years.
