Who should take this course?
Providing emergency first response care is straightforward, easy to learn, and could potentially save lives. There are so many good reasons to empower yourself, your friends, and family with this important life skill.
The Emergency First Response course is well structured and there is a reference manual (purchased separately) that helps you prepare for the course and to keep for future reference.
This is a one day, non-diving program so everyone is welcome.

What will you learn?
The Emergency First Responder (EFR) Course consists of 4 parts:
- Primary Care or Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
- Automated External Defibrillator (AED) Use
- Oxygen Use
- Secondary Care or First Aid
Emergency First Response Primary Care or CPR teaches you how to respond to life-threatening emergencies. This part of the course consists of knowledge development, skill development and realistic scenario practice to help you gain the confidence to help if you encounter emergency situations.
Emergency First Response Secondary Care or First Aid covers injuries or illnesses that are not immediately life threatening. During this part of the course, you’ll learn about secondary assessment and first aid through knowledge development, skill development and realistic scenario practice.
