Research, Education & Conservation

Coral nurseries create ideal conditions for young corals to develop before being reintroduced into natural reef systems, significantly increasing their survival rates. This work is crucial in the fight against climate change, coral bleaching, and marine diseases such as white band disease.
At Dive World, we are deeply committed to the protection and understanding of the underwater world. Through our extended network of divers, scientists, and conservation partners, we actively participate in a wide range of ecological efforts — including coral restoration, shark research, shipwreck preservation, and marine education.
Dive Against Debris
During a recent Dive Against Debris initiative, our divers Lilly and Mareesha took part in cleaning marine debris from the shoreline — a hands-on effort to protect ocean health.
Pollution and discarded waste are among the greatest threats to marine ecosystems, smothering coral reefs and endangering marine life through entanglement and ingestion. At Dive World, we view every piece of debris removed as a step toward restoring the balance of the underwater world — and we’re proud of our team’s continued commitment to ocean conservation.
We are 100% Project AWARE Certified
We are the first and only 100% Project Aware dive shop in Ontario.
Project AWARE is a global movement connecting ocean adventure with the purpose of marine conservation.
We donate $10 from each student we certify towards initiatives like marine debris cleanup and protecting communities of rays and sharks.
