The northern Red Sea is home to some of the most famous and historically significant shipwrecks in the world, combined with vibrant reef systems and excellent visibility. This region offers an ideal mix of iconic wreck penetration, photogenic superstructures, and colorful reef dives, all within relatively short cruising distances.

From shallow coral-encrusted wrecks to deep, intact cargo ships resting in blue water, the northern Red Sea delivers unforgettable dives steeped in maritime history and wartime legacy.

Itinerary: Get Wrecked – Northern Red Sea

The Get Wrecked itinerary combines the best of the best wrecks of the northern Red Sea with select reef dives, offering variety, history, and outstanding underwater scenery.

• Abu Nuhas Wreck Graveyard – Carnatic, Chrisoula K, Kimon M, Giannis D

• SS Thistlegorm – The Red Sea’s most famous WWII wreck

• Rosalie Moller – Thistlegorm’s deeper sister ship

• Dunraven – A classic wreck at Ras Mohamed

• Ulysses – Dramatic wreck with reef growth

• Straits of Gubal and additional wrecks and reefs as conditions allow

As a 21+ dives safari, there is an excellent opportunity to enjoy 21 or more dives over 7 nights, including night dives.

Exact routing and dive sequencing are determined by weather and sea conditions to ensure safety and maximize dive quality.

Diver Experience Requirements

• Experience Level: Intermediate

• Recommended Logged Dives: 20

• Comfortable with drift diving and variable currents, ranging from gentle to strong

• Many dives are below 18 metres

• Advanced experience recommended, or divers may choose to complete PADI Advanced Open Water onboard

• Cruise Director may restrict dives if conditions exceed a diver’s experience level

• Diving is conducted from zodiacs for precise entries and exits

Transfers & Ground Logistics

Emperor offers a complimentary shared transfer on the day of arrival and departure to/from the port or a local hotel at set times.

• Transfers are not private per booking

• Guests may wait for arrivals from other flights or hotel pickups

• Maximum airport wait time is 1.5 hours

• If arrival falls outside transfer windows, additional transfer charges may apply

• Guests will be taken to a nearby waiting point with shade and facilities if needed
